I like its steep rolling hills, its cable cars,  its narrow houses, its coffee... I like many things there, and I miss it.

Such a scene I observed years and years ago in a tiny swimwear shop in Israel.
Girls were trying all kinds of a swimwear, and boys (not necessary boyfriends) were observing and approving... or disapproving.
Такую сцену я наблюдала много лет назад в крошечном магазинчике, торгующем купальниками, в Петах Тикве. 

Девочки примеряли разные купальники, а мальчики одобряли... или не одобряли их выбор.

In the era of so called "Well developed socialism" produce from all over the Soviet Union was brought into Moscow.
And then people from all over the country would bring it back to their own home cities...
Especially popular were kielbasas.

В эпоху так называемого "Развитого социализма" продукты со всего Союза свозились в Москву.  Ну, а уж из Москвы люди сами развозили их по домам... Особой популярностью пользовалась колбаса.
